Veteran Cyclist Hurt In Bridgeport Motorcycle Crash
Octavian Peloquin a 74 year old Bridgeport resident with a long history of cycling was injured when his motorcycle collided with an automobile driven by Nicholas Matluck on the new Post Road near Benson Road Fairfield. He suffered a broken leg and contusions and was hospitalized in serious but stable condition. The dog Curley a French poodle was not riding with him at the time. Matluck was arrested on a town charge and the crash remains unexplained. Peloquin, a Sorel Canada native, has ridden for over 57 years and is described as one of the oldest cyclists in the world.

Bridgeport police in one day recovered four stolen watches and a diamond ring before reports were filed. Officers arrested Robert Neal for a suspected 1925 Pittsburgh murder and found a long bladed knife beneath his pillow. A burglar dropped a Swiss wrist watch during a break in at 21 Noble avenue and another watch and $19.65 were stolen from 234 Ogden street. the watch was recovered after the O Leary loss report.
