Plan for Oriental women colleges gains broad backing
In Washington and beyond a drive seeks to fund seven women’s colleges in Asia and India. United States church groups and the Peabody Memorial Fund back a $2 million campaign to establish Union Christian colleges in Madras, Peking, Chang, Nagpur, and more. Alumni and partner schools pledge support as cities organize pledges over 96 days, targeting a final lunch and total gifts to complete the plan.
