Street car crashes into jitney bus injuring six

Six people were slightly injured when a street car collided with a crowded jitney bus on Stratford Avenue last night. Motorman L and Conductor I O Ed led the bus into the opposite lane, the police say, striking the bus on its right side. Serious injury to Mrs Santa Lanston of 1049 Clarence Street, taken to St Vincent’s Hospital with a possible fracture. Others named include Carmel Omelo, Lange, Bogash, and several pedestrians.

Aged Resident Dies at Work in Carroll Avenue House

Bamuel Cane, 42, of Bridgeport, died suddenly yesterday while working at a Carroll Avenue house from heart trouble. He had been with W Hubasil Building Co since 1885 and was a member of the Mesonic order. Survived by wife, two daughters in New York and this city, two sons, and one sister in Osaville.

Bryant Electric workers set record $1100 in subscriptions

Employees of the Bryant Electric Company subscribe $1,100 to the Employers Tuberculosis of the Eelier association for the year, the largest annual employee subscription yet in Bridgeport.
