Parents to Appeal to State Board for School Bus
Fairfield November 11 residents of the Pine Creek Beach section petitioned the town school committee for school transportation for their children and were denied. Attorney William A. Kinsella said the appeal will be filed with the State Department of Education. Also, Commissioner William Craik ordered a uniform sidewalk along the Worth side of the Post road at Fairfield Center between Sanford Avenue and Miller Avenue after a hearing. Property owner William McGarry objected, saying the sidewalk would burden his blacksmith shop, and Craik ordered the work to proceed.
