Three Cities Police In Hot Pursuit Memoir Of Whitcomb Auto Theft

Police from Bridgeport Milford and New Haven chase a stolen automobile owned by former State Senator Joseph H Whitcomb of Shelton Street. Eugene Ledaux and Bessie Rogers were captured after a slow chase ending in a corn field near St Marrs cemetery. Ledaux claimed other identities and said someone asked him to drive to New Haven. Authorities posted 5090 bond for Ledaux and Rogers.
