An 11 year old Fairfield boy died from a gunshot wound after an accidental discharge near Hill Farm road. The shot occurred while hunting with three companions and a youth carried the rifle. Lieut Lennan said a faulty trigger may have caused the discharge. The victim was James Poinelli, son of Olga Polnelli of Fairfield. Police aided the investigation with multiple officers.
