Long Distance Phone Rates Cut by FCC Ahead of 1969

Seven Rescued From Sinking Yacht Near Nantucket
Coast Guard said seven people were rescued from a sinking yacht and were en route to Boston aboard the tanker Thomas M. Two rescued were slightly injured but all were safe. The bow of a 629-foot tanker was found after breaking up southeast of Nantucket in 20 to 40 foot seas and 70 mph winds.
