Holy Name to Convert Church Property into Club House
The Rourke and Boucher property at Washington Avenue and Calethorne Place, bought last year by St. Augustine's church for about 35000, will become a Holy Name society club house and parish social center. Rev Peter H McLean endorses the plan after Holy Name officers proposed it. The west side of the house will be renovated for use, with card parties and activities moved from the school auditorium. The Holy Name society and several church groups including Children of Mary Immaculate Conception Rosary and Scapular, and Boy and Girl Scout Troops will share the new center.
