Tohnnie Edmundson Jr aged 23 of 236 Hough Avenue was arrested at gunpoint in a downtown hotel in connection with the $262 hold up at the Western Union office on Fairfield Avenue Wednesday night. He faces robbery with violence charges and a $10,000 bond. Two companions, Ronald Spears age 23 and Irving Spears age 29 of Stamford, are held on breach of peace with $5,000 bonds each. Seven people including a Torrington family died when a sports car skidded and broadside a sedan. The sports car driver, Pellegren, 30, and passenger Havey, 24, died. speed was a factor. Victims included Albert Wilklow, 41, Georgette 37, and children Albert 14 Frank 12 Paula 10. Havey was UC engineering student. All victims were Torrington residents. The crash occurred near a hill nicknamed Junker Hill. safety belts were not believed in use. Pellegrew and the Wilklow family were identified by Harold Wilklow. A passing motorist found the wreck shortly after 4 pm. Pellegren died at Hartford hospital.
