War hero wins Bridgeport divorce decree here
Hig wife and three children reside in Sealand John Hunter Bell Bridgeport obtained a decree of divorce in Superior court yesterday afternoon after Kelen Fulton Bell refused to join him in the country. Bell married in 1906 three years after he joined the British army. He came to America in 1912 and when war was declared in 1914 he was recalled for service. He served as a lieutenant until wounded and sent home later settling in Bridgeport.

Averring Nora Tennant formerly of Danbury withheld evidence when testifying before Judge Wolfe in Superior court on February thal and was granted a decree of divorce from Ray Tennant, which may not have been awarded had the suppressed testimony been disclosed. Attorney J Walter Keffer asked Judge Alfred Baldwin to reopen and set aside the judgment in the uncontested case. Tennant testified he was in a hospital when first served with divorce papers in September 1925, and that Tennant and Nora later resumed living as husband and wife until December 13, 1925, when she disappeared. She later appeared in court to obtain the decree. Bailiff noted the circumstances may constitute concealment of acts of cruelty and fraud. Baldwin reserved decision on reopening the judgment. He questioned Murphy, acting for Nora, who claimed he did not know her location. Alb Tennant also secured alimony. the case includes disputed custody and property questions.
