Time extension on war insurance granted by House
War veterans receive an additional year to convert their war risk insurance under a Senate amended bill approved by the House. The extension, dating from July 2, adds six months for policy conversion to ordinary life, 20 year endowment, or 20 year paid up plans. A five year grace period remains for those unable to pay premiums on current converted policies. The measure, supported by Representative Hines of the Veterans Bureau, resolves the conversion period dispute between Houses.
