What Million Men Means What Million Men Means
Hugo Stinnes, described as the uncrowned new Kaiser of Germany, employs a million men in vast industrial enterprises. A single-file march of 11 days plus nights would be needed to pass by the employer. Comparisons show American coal industry totals 740,000 workers, U S Steel about 375,000, Henry Ford around 75,000, and Standard Oil of New Jersey about 64,006, illustrating scale differences.
