Dr John Treaba of Transian Avenue was vindicated by a Criminal Superior Court jury yesterday afternoon. The physician was found innocent of performing an operation for which the law barred, on a fifteen year old girl. The girl’s mother, Mrs Lucy Monrose of 115 North Avenue, and attorney for the defense were cited as supporters of Dr Hraba and the jury did not find the accusations credible. William Grimes of Bridgeport awaits trial in the same court on a criminal assault charge involving the girl. After the verdict Dr Hraba denounced what he called legal authorities ignorance of a surgeon’s duties in such cases and expressed appreciation for the jury’s decision.
