Abductress Nabbed in Bridgeport. Baby Reunited
Five months old Shirley Jacobus, kidnapped from New York two weeks earlier, was found in Bridgeport with Pearl Ferguson at 604 Main Street. Police from Bridgeport and New York arrested Ferguson after quick photo recognition by Patrolman McCarthy. Detective work spanned Danbury Bethel Springfield Lawrence and Boston before the capture. The child appeared undernourished though Ferguson claimed care. Detective Sergeant Conkling planned to take Ferguson to New York for further charges.

Two men were thrown from a motorcycle after a collision with an automobile at Lafayette street and South avenue. Both suffered fractured legs and other injuries, with abrasions to the face and body.
