Two Men Sentenced in Murder Case in Superior Court

Beni Loehnicki and Charles Mielerzarek of Here were sentenced to state prison for second degree murder after pleading guilty. Roman Howanke received one year for manslaughter in the January 4 murder of Frank Andrews, an insurance collector, during a failed robbery setup. Leonard Chamberlain of Stratford pled guilty to a statutory offense and got nine months with probation. Peter LaCharity pled guilty to bigamy and drew one day in jail with execution suspended. Case Continues in Boline Theft Arraignment

Boline of 982 Railroad Street in Norwich was arraigned on theft charges for allegedly forcing a trunk lock and stealing $72 from Charles Sorngran. Sorngran testified they had befriended Boline, who repaid kindness by the theft. Case continued until May before Judge Bartlett.
