Plan Committee to Aid Veterans in Bridgeport
Lieutenant David B. Todd Jr of the Air Department Service and Information branch spoke in Bridgeport about forming a local central committee. The group will inform on relief for service members and aid former soldiers and their committees, coordinating with employment, vocational, and welfare agencies nationwide. The Service and Information branch covers three districts with headquarters in New York City, Indianapolis, and San Francisco, with field officers assisting. Lieutenant Colonel Mathew Smith leads the branch now at the National Defense Building in Washington, D.C.
