Increased Bus Service on Three Lines Is Granted
The Public Utilities Commission rejected City Service corporation’s jitney permit, citing equal accommodation by Connecticut Company’s proposed route from Plaza to Boston avenue and its impact on traffic. It granted two applications, including Bridgeport Auto Transit’s extension into Stratford, and allowed Connecticut to abandon a Tunxis Hill route while extending others to serve the north to south corridor and Warren Harding High School students.

O Mahony Trial Delayed For Sanity Test
James N B O'Mahony a 27 year old war veteran held without bonds for the murder of his sweetheart Beatrice Donnelly in Greenwich will not be tried at the May term of the Superior court. State's Attorney William H Hamley Jr said the delay follows a request by O'Mahony's counsel for more time to observe and study the prisoner. The defense will argue insanity claiming the man is crazy. His actions in jail have been calm though he shows no remorse according to supporters. He reportedly remains impatient with the court delay and would like to be tried at sunrise tomorrow.

A hearing was set today before the Chester building commissioners to show cause why a permit for Samuel Carn to erect a six glare building at North and Park avenues should not be issued. The proceeding was continued a week after Attorney Thames Cullinan Younger asked Superior Court Judge Arthur F. Elis for an alternative writ of mandamus brue against the commissioners claiming the permit was withheld due to a city ordinance petitioner deems invalid.
