Lunar Orbiter 4 Rockets to Moon for Mapping Survey

Cape Kennedy AP reports Lunar Orbiter 4 launched at 6 25 p m aboard an Atlas Agena rocket for a planned 89 hour 254513 mile journey to photograph the moon. The mission aims to map the lunar surface with high detail, building on prior orbiters. A valve issue nearly grounded the booster but launch proceeded and the craft separated from the upper stage five minutes after liftoff.

Murray Named Plant Manager For Dictaphone

Robert E. Murray of Nichols has been named plant manager of Dictaphone's Bridgeport main manufacturing facility. He will oversee day to day operations for the Sirm reading Time Master line and other Dictaphone production. Murray brings 14 years at Dictaphone with a background in quality control and reliability engineering. He is a Bridgeport Engineering Institute graduate and World War II Army Air Corps veteran. He and his wife Georgette Pulley of Stratford have a daughter.
