Two Trains Crash in Boston Yard

A four car Woods Hole lightweight train carrying 150 passengers crashed into a Brockton bound twelve car freight train in New Haven Railroad's outer yard in Boston. At least one person was injured though hospital officials said none serious. The Woods Hole train derailed three of its four cars and operator William Quirk 65 of Hyannis was injured. Sixty ambulances and many doctors were summoned.

A 68 year old woman, Mrs Helen Curry of 114 Cottage Street, was struck from behind by two youths on Cottage Street and Park Avenue after 8 pm. They fled with her purse containing 31 and personal papers. She sustained a possible left arm fracture and a lacerated forehead and was taken to St Vincent's Hospital by ambulance.

Bridgeport Driver Held In Turnpike Toll Test

Ernest H. Garrick of 3460 Old Town Road was arrested at 5:20 P.M. yesterday after driving through a Connecticut turnpike toll station in West Haven with an expired toll ticket. He had planned a public test of the regulation using remaining tickets printed with March 26 as the expiration date. State Highway officials had warned toll collectors, and Officer James McGrath of the Bethany barracks waited nearby when the arrest occurred.
