Pure Cream Promises Quick Cold Relief
An old advertisement touts a antiseptic cream named Fly's Cream as a remedy for head colds. It claims instant nostril relief, reduced swelling in the nose and throat, and easy breathing after applying a small amount in the nostrils. The ad highlights long-standing endorsement and urges readers to buy from druggists.
Grade elimination eyed at Sylvan Avenue crossing
New Haven railroad engineers from Danbury and Stamford offices and city Streets and Sidewalks officials spent two hours studying the Sylvan Crest crossing on Berkshire division. They discussed bridge type and grade, and the city offered labor while the railroad provides materials and supervision. City Hall expects the grade to be removed before summer’s end, enabling water mains by Hydraulic Co. to proceed once the grade is cleared. If agreement resumes, work will be funded by the unemployment relief fund.
