Milford March 20 Captain John Clark owner of the Milford Garage and a well known local figure suffered a compound fracture of the left forearm and severe head and body abrasions when struck by an automobile operated by Seymour E K Brown of Bridgeport in front of his garage. Brown said Clark stepped from behind a truck into the path of the car and could not stop in time. Fireman Eugene Wadham later reported striking a man on the Post Road near Devon who appeared uninjured and refused to give his name. Police released Wadham’s report as the accident was deemed unavoidable.
