Paris reports severe floods across central France after rivers including the Seine, Toirs, Marne and Somme rise sharply. The Seine has climbed over six feet in two weeks and may reach 1910 levels, flooding Saumur and paralyzing traffic as villages are inundated and gas supplies cut.
In Queenwich James Bosca farm hand on the Phelps Stokes estate was fined 1% plus costs by Judge James R. Mead for assaulting his cousin Paul Bosca.
