The Bridgeport common council authorized a 900000 street extension bond issue to fund plaza related widening and layouts. Aldermen Cornell Oakey Ford and Clancy opposed. Blakeslee introduced the resolution which sets a 25 year repayment with 5 percent interest. Bonds dated April 1 1918 will be signed by mayor treasurer and auditor and paid in annual installments starting April 1 1923.
