Judge Denies Plea to Quash Writ in Fence Dispute
Judge John J. Walsh of the Court of Common Pleas denied a motion by George A. Douglas to dissolve an injunction preventing tearing down a wire fence placed by Lillian Hisonman on property in Trumbull. Douglas argued the fence encroached on four acres he bought from Mrs. Elsenman, claiming a deed mismeasurement left 129 feet deeded instead of 125 feet owned.

Counterfeit Ring Leader Sentenced in DC Case
In Washington on June 27 Curt Jacobson of New York was sentenced to ten years in the penitentiary by Justice Hoehring for leading a conspiracy to counterfeit $1,000 bills. James C. Ifonshten, a 25 year Bureau of Printing and Engraving employee, and August Habby, famed for engraving President Harding on a pin head, pleaded guilty as associates and received two year terms.

Model Yacht Club Holds First Trial at Seaside Park
The Tepatte Committee of 1924 model yacht club held its inaugural trial in Seaside Park, Seaside. Officers and captains comprising the club attended as Ormonde Williams’s “Whilutoor” and a second yacht launched earlier in the week drew comment among members and observers. Merwe Laneh of 125 Areh street appeared in Chy court charged with theft of automobile tires from city parks and other areas. William Fassey of 2574 Mata street was fined $50 and given a 60 day suspended jail sentence on a similar charge.
