Mexican admits killing former Norwich woman
St Louis police say Jose Romero, 23, Mexican lover of Irene Thompson, admitted strangling the 17 year old suburban St Louis mother whose semi nude body was found in a downtown hotel. He said she lunged at him with a desk pop and he wrapped a cord around her neck, pulling tight until she died. Thompson, mother of a war year old daughter, had registered at the Jefferson hotel last week while her husband was away. The Thompsons lived in Kirkwood and previously in Norwich, Connecticut.
