Stratford June 24 three alarm fires kept the fire department on the jump. The most serious blaze was at Buge Denzel’s home at Nichols and Freeman avenues causing about 2000 in damage from smoke water and fire. A second fire damaged the Ettershank residence at 1856 Main street with about 25 in damage. The trolley car fire near Stratford Center caused woodwork damage but passengers were safely discharged.
