Baroness Nancy Orengiani widow of PT Barnum died yesterday afternoon in Paris. Once a social leader, she had lived abroad for about 30 years in Paris and Mentone. She married Barnum in 1874 as his second wife, previously married Greek nobleman Demetrius Collus Bey. Relatives in Bridgeport were informed, with burial planned in Cannes France.

Cherry theft leads to shooting near Donnelly yard
Thirteen year old James Yancuk was shot in the left hip by Patrick Donnelly while a group of boys attempted to steal cherries from Donnelly’s rear yard tree.
