A Metropolitan Life mortality bulletin reports higher diabetes deaths among 43 million white industrial policyholders in the United States and Canada, with Northern states showing higher rates than the South. The bulletin notes insulin's impact, regional differences, and possible racial factors, citing 1923 to 1925 trends and 1934 insulin use.
