Teapot Dome Oil Lease Upheld By Court Verdict
The court rejected government claims that Interior lacked authority to grant the Seabrook style lease for full development of the Teapot Dome structure. Judge Kennedy found no legal basis tying Sinclair or Fall to the lease via criminal conspiracy and described bonds and loans as either unproven or legitimate. Fall, defending the record, expressed confidence in the courts while reiterating he never fought a law case in print. The ruling will go to the U S Supreme Court for final say.
