Girl Escapee 17 Gets New Terms After Surrender
A 17-year-old girl, Lori L. Hanks of 106 Lintey Street, was sentenced in Circuit Court to 180 days for escape from a correctional institution and violation of parole after pleading guilty to the charges before Judge Milton Herman. Hanks had escaped Bridgeport Correctional Center while being transported, then surrendered five days later to Bridgeport Police Captain Willard Stevane. The probation violation stemmed from a failed term requiring outpatient drug treatment at the Hope Center. Assistant Prosecutor Robert J. Jahn noted the special probation term.
