Norwalk Tot Survives Groundbreaking Heart Surgery
A two year old Norwalk boy, Christopher Jay Cruddon, became the first to survive a pioneering bypass using a pig valve, after a five hour operation at Yale New Haven Hospital. He recovered at home and is active again, with his mother praising prayers answered.

A Milford woman, Diane Sconzo of 9 South Kerema Avenue, was found guilty of negligent homicide by a Criminal Division jury in the Feb 25 crash that struck an oil truck on Lordship Road Stratford. Judge Lewis A. DeFabritis will sentence her in July after a pre sentence investigation. Assistant Prosecutor Edward J. Caldwell stated she was the driver involved.
