Labor Council Opens Two Centers for Health Items
Hartford Union members via the Greater Hartford Labor Council will gain access to discounted prescription drugs and health care items with two new union prescription centers opening in Hartford and New Britain. Council President Ostro noted the program targets high drug costs and unfilled prescriptions due to funds. Discount cards through local unions will let members buy brand name drugs at the lowest possible price. The council may expand the program to seniors welfare mothers and disabled veterans.
