Nurses Graduate From Bridgeport Hospital Training School
Nineteen girls completed three year courses at Bridgeport Hospital training school for nurses and received diplomas in a United Congregational church ceremony. Dr. J. C. Winslow of Yale spoke on nursing’s role in public health, urging more public health nurses and stating a need for at least one per 2,000 people to meet demand.

Rescue of 10 Year Old Boy From Harbor Incident
A 10 year old boy playing on the Wil street pier fell into the harbor and was rescued by Charles King. Michael Lotgoda, 19, of 60 Goodwin Street, was involved in the incident. The boy, unable to swim, received aid from Patrolman Shea and EMS, then Dr. Groark treated him before he was taken to St Vincent's Hospital. The child suffered exposure but was expected to be discharged the next morning.

Subway Wreck Claims Motorman and Injures Eight
New York June 10 George W Adams motorman of a northbound Lexington avenue express was killed when his train crashed into a standing Bronx train at Freeman street station on the elevated Interborough Rapid Transit line. Eight others were injured as fire apparatus and police rushed to the scene. Officials said collision cause is under investigation. The wreck produced sparks and smoke as the front car telescoped the rear of the standing train. Reverend Much Cronin administered last rites to Adams before his death.
