Four masked bandits entered the New Milford Hat company early this morning binding and gagging the watchman in the boiler room. They secured about 9 pounds of fur valued at roughly $1600, carried away in a motor car. Despondent Stratford man attempts gas asphyxiation

Stratford police believe domestic troubles drove Joan Teslys of 173 Burritt avenue to try self death by illuminating gas. He was found unconscious on the floor with a gas tube in his mouth, treated by Dr. Robert E. Phelan and rushed to Bridgeport Hospital after a Stratford ambulance removal.
