Detroit Boat Club faced Canadian rivals at the Canadian Henley regatta in St Catharines. In junior eight events for 169 pounds the Detroit crew was eliminated by Toronto's Argonauts in heat one, but then defeated the Argonauts in heat two for unlimited weight. Wyandotte Boat Club from Michigan won heat one by defeating the Ottawa Rowing Club.
