Commander Rosendahl said a three day flight over New England may occur starting Wednesday August 4, calibrating with compass stations at Bar Harbor while the Patna ship holds at Newport to receive the airship. The Los Angeles was seen hovering along the Connecticut shore, a huge gray shape above Long Island.

The recommendations will become effective as soon as machinery can be set up to put the working provisions in motion. The equations aim to deter Florida coast imports and other entry points while remaining secret for some time. The first knowledge of operation will come when regulations are in actual operation and whether they will succeed is uncertain. Palm Beach Florida July 4 AP property damage total more than a million dollars as a hurricane from the Caribbean struck the coast. Forty yachts and houseboats on Lake Worth were destroyed or damaged. A yacht, the Meade, sank near the pier and two people were rescued from the water. Across the coast at Jupiter and West Palm Beach the storm caused extensive damage to bridges, roofs, and power lines. Several ships and tankers were reported in distress or awaiting salvage as weather limited visibility.
