Legislative Reflections on Budget and Aviation Advances
The interview discusses a proposed 150 trillion dollar appropriation with about 50 0 ton to be spent in Washington and the remainder nationwide via joint treasury and postmaster general approval. It notes aviation legislation as a forward step, aiding air travel, commerce, and shifting commercial air transport to the Department of Commerce for contracts with two airlines. It also recalls regret over farm relief efforts like the McNary Vaug en bill and river and harbor projects, citing concerns over cost, practicality, and interstate impacts, including a proposed New York state ship canal and a Great Lakes level change plan.
