New YorkJuly 23 Ferdinand and W Suydam long known as the oldest in competent in New York courts saw their affairs, once managed by an committee, emerge in probate proceedings aimed at distributing an estate once valued at 1 000 000 dollars. The inheritance from its father included real estate in Chicago Michigan and New York. Suydam was later found incompetent in a Supreme Court action begun by relatives and the court set bonds of 150 000 on the committee. By 1894 the estate had grown to 1 000 000 plus, with the probate bond rising to 9879 000 before further action.
Local Rotary members leave for Savin Rock at noon replacing the weekly luncheon. They will meet Wilcox's restaurant for an interesty joint program with New Haven Rotarians. The session starts at 12 30 p m with Rotarian George N Woods and Duchess of New Haven handling the program, featuring musical numbers and surprises. President Al Lavery of the Iscal Rotary will address the group.
Report states that Nicholas Wislosky of Pembroke Street Warren of 5 Park Street and John Owell of 679 Noble Avenue were arrested after serving subpoenas. Wislosky was charged with breach of peace for acting objectionably in the presence of women on East Main Street Saturday. He will be tried in City Court this morning.
An 18 year old, Joseph Witz of 78 Commercial Street, was detained by federal agents after posing as a Secret Service operative. He brandished a badge reading Post Office and claimed five years of undercover work, while a man named Moscowitz allegedly investigated counterfeit nickels trailing from Philadelphia to Bridgeport. Police plan to turn Moscowitz over to federal counterfeit investigators. officials were unavailable for comment.
Members of the Ninth District Republican club met Jase Might at their clay rooms and appointed committees to meet with Tenth Eleventh and Twelfth district clubs about a joint carnival. Alderman Wilbert H Sanford Henry H McCathron Marcus Hirsch Sales and Harry Stire constitute the committee. A meeting of representatives from the four districts is expected tonight. Leather belts with feather designs in cut steel suit sport dresses of white or colored silk.

Patrick J Healy of Milford age 64 retires after 53 years with New York New Haven and Hartford Railroad. He began as waterboy in 1870 on New York division later serving as drawbridge tender rear brakeman baggage master and most recently passage master on the Banker Express. He has no blemish on his record and plans to seek a pension.
