Sheriff Calls Aldermen to Noon Special Session

For the first time in memory the Common Council will meet in a special session tomorrow at 12 o clock noon. City Sheriff Morris Hochheiser served warrants on aldermen to gather for approving the form for a $50,000 Park fund issue. Mayor Behrens says the noon timing fits the city officials' outing to Hillside Grove, with a roast and games planned from 1:30 to 4.

Couple Marries in City Assessor Office at Noon

Renewed vigor entered the missing children search as Alvers and the fire department aided the dredging from St Marys by the Sea. Seven runaways were found on Long Island near Old Man's Harbor but they were not the right seven. Greenstein Causes Arrest After Revolver Threat

Assistant City Attorney Henry Greenstein caused the arrest of John Samuel Cross at 503 East Fourth Street Brooklyn after Cross allegedly drew a revolver and threatened Greenstein in a bonding office. Crosby, a private detective, is held on $1,000 bond for assault and carrying concealed weapons. Greenstein, uninjured, described the incident and will testify in City Court.

Nation spread counterfeit plot revealed

Niagara Falls July 21. The Niagra Falls district reports a national counterfeit plot exposed this evening by artist Sottilé, a well-known Italian in the city. Sottilé was arraigned before a federal commission by Howard J. McHugh of the Secret Service and jailed $10,000 bail. He is charged with possessing and modifying counterfeit plates and related materials. It is alleged plates mailed here served a gang flooding eastern cities with counterfeit bills. Secret Service arrests were made. further arrests expected elsewhere.

Woman Falls to Death in City Steps

Firpo Admitted as Visitor Barred Companion

Argentine heavyweight Luis Angel Firpo arrived in the United States aboard the American Legion to fight Harry Wills and was admitted as a visitor after detention at Ellis Island with companions. A Miss Blanca Lourdes, claimed to be a friend but not part of Firpo’s party, was held for possible separation on a future Cuba-bound boat after a $500 bond deposit.
