Reversible Rudder Invented Here Adds to Bridgeport's Nautical Fame
Bridgeport claims nautical fame with J G A Hitchen's Kitchen Reversible Rudder as shown on the motorboat Viewer. McNab Company holds manufacturing rights. The cage aids maneuvering and reversing, with two curved deflectors covering part of the propeller for rapid astern and tight circles. Meanwhile yacht racing notes cover Green Goddess, Cythera, and other local boats, with July series results and club plans including a cruise to Cold Spring on the Housatonic river and a forthcoming August social.
