Greenwich officer Alfred Brives was attacked early on the Darien Post Road by three men in a car or motorcycle. The revolver was said to be taken during the assault. He was found along the road by Federal Agent Motarthy and taken to Stamford hospital, condition not serious. Police tracked the car toward Bridgeport, last seen near Stratford en route to New Haven.

Schnee Victim Suffers Scalp Laceration In Auto Crash

Maurice Schnee of 418 William Street was injured late last night when his car collided with a jitney at SNoenle Avenue and Stillman Street. He sustained a scalp laceration and was taken to hospital.

Wage Award For Rail Men To Be Announced Today

The railway labor board will issue its first award tomorrow morning increasing pay for about four million rail employees. Early indications suggest an average gain between 30 and 60 percent or roughly 500 to 600 million dollars of the billion dollar demand.
