Posse Captures Alleged Assailant on Steuben Street

Indignant neighbors formed a posse on Steuben Street to seize Dazzin Ferrar age 25 of 23 Steuben Street accused of assaulting the eight year old daughter of a boarding mistress. Ferrar fought to escape, injuring his captor Antonio Languio with nails and a blow to the cheek. Ferrar, a fetcher at 618 Pembroke Street, is jailed at the Second Precinct on $2004 bail.

Autos Damaged in Milford Collision

An auto driven by Ralph Bollian Mass and owned by of Boston struck a jitney bus in Milford near the afternoon. The impact shoved the standing vehicle ahead about fifteen feet, smashing the car end and two right wheels. No one injured.

Robbery at Eport Man’s Beach Cottage

Between 2 and 11 yesterday afternoon the cottage of H W Herman of Myrtle Beach was robbed of five watches a diamond pin and 256 in cash from two second floor rooms. A sleeping man on the ground floor and several workers were present. no one seen entering or leaving. Items belonged to Police Officer John Brennan and others from Bridgeport Hartford and Bridgeport. police expect an arrest soon.

Arrest Export Man On Whiskey Truck In Norwich

Police seized a whiskey truck en route from New York City to Albany. Louis Sorrell of Bridgeport and two other men were held on $5,000 bonds by U S Commissioner Earl Matthewson. Sorrell claimed the trip was through Eastern Connecticut due to better roads. Bridgeport records list him as manager of Sorrell Automobile Co.
