Yale education professor J Crosby Chapman is believed drowned after his motorboat was found adrift off Chautauqua Lake. Reported missing after leaving Chautauqua forenoon cruise, his clothes were recovered. none of his body found. He joined Yale in 1920 from Western Reserve and held a full professorship. Chapman, 36, a Nottingham England native, held degrees from London Cambridge and PhD from Columbia. He married Miss Dalay Rogers of Cleveland.
