College romance of local man ends in court annulment
New York July 13 Justice MacCrate in Brooklyn granted an annulment to Mrs Felon Drew Hastings daughter of William W Drew of 57 West 10th street Manhattan in her suit against John T Hastings of Bridgeport Connecticut whom she married September 38 1921 at Poughkeepsie. She said she met Hastings at Connecticut Valley New London as a student and that the romance faded after discovering the marriage was not valid. Her father testified he knew nothing of the marriage until told by his daughter and that there was no trace of Hastings in Manhattan.
