Paris dispatch reports the French Senate ratified the Washington Naval Treaty with three dissenters and the four power Pacific pact unanimously amid heat and low turnout. Resignation of Rev Leslie J Tuck at First M E Church

Rev Leslie J Tuck director of Community Service at the First Methodist church since January submitted his resignation at the quarterly meeting. He came from Gorham Maine and was ordained elder in April. He left for the west due to his mother’s illness. Two men will fill his post Rev Robert Beach associate pastor and Joseph McConnell licensed preacher who will lead the Silvan Crest chapel on Sundays. Reports and routines were discussed at the meeting.

15 Year Olds Use Phone Trick In Store Robbery

Two 15 year old boys plotted and carried out a cash theft in a pair of shops on Pequonnock Street. They lured a storekeeper from her store by calling from the next door and distracting her with a fake sales pitch while the other looted the till. One boy grabbed 38 cents and left 320 in change untouched. They were arrested and face Juvenile Court arraignment.

Nurse’s suicide attempt linked to fear of failure

A student nurse Miss Creatore, anxious over January graduation at Columbus Hospital, attempted to die by jumping from Stratford Avenue Bridge into water Tuesday night. Three Soldiers Slain and Fourteen Hurt by Lightning

Eleven year old James Matazzo shot himself at his home at 598 Pembroke Street after losing a cellar key and fearing his father's punishment. He was found bleeding, rapidly treated at Bridgeport Hospital, where doctors located and removed a bullet from his head.

Manufacturers to Hold Annual Clam Bake on July 49
