Airplane crashes into crowd at Langin Field killing six

A Martin bomber from the factory at Cleveland crashed into parked cars at Langin Field Moundsville West Virginia killing six spectators and injuring about fifty. The pilots Lieut MeIve and Lieut Dunton were rescued. Sixteen autos burned as the burning plane exploded, dynamite in a nearby shaft being detonated in the chaos.

Hearing Today on Broad Street Widening

Property owners affected by the widening of Broad Street will be heard at four this afternoon by the Board of Appraisal of Benefits and Damage in the city hall council chamber. The Trinity Episcopal church at Fairfield avenue and Broad is among claimants to be heard. Trustees of the church had applied for a reshearing at the previous Tuesday’s Aldermen meeting.

Stratford Votes On Charter Change Today

Stratford voters go to the polls to decide on adopting a council manager form of government. Polls open at seven in the morning and close at seven in the evening in the town hall. Modern Bluebeard case shocks London youth suspect

Detectives found a blood stained knife in Harold Jones's Abertilery home and a bloody stick in a boiler. The 18 year old was arrested after being charged with the murder of eight year old Freda Burnell and is now charged with the killing of Florence St Jo, 13, whose mutilated body was found in his attic near the Burnell scene. Lloyd George De Valera Reach Dominion Home Rule Accord

London July 10. An accord on dominion home rule for Ireland is agreed with Sinn Fein and southern Unionists. Ulster’s opposition centers on social guarantees for six northern counties. Ireland would gain home rule on Canadian lines with six Protestant counties in the north having a Quebec-like status. Lloyd George invited De Valera to London to discuss peace on a dominion settlement basis. A London conference was called to formalize the deal.

Fifteen Killed in Irish Riots in Belfast

Reports from Belfast say fifteen people were killed and nearly one hundred wounded as rioting spilled from last night into today. Orangemen marching along Royal Avenue sparked excitement and police moved in while crowds cheered when a shot felled a man on a street corner. Occupants flee as police raid Myrtle Beach hotel

A Sunday gathering of about twelve young people at the Daki Grove hotel in Myrtle Beach ended when Milford police under Chief James raid disrupted the party. Body of Missing Man Found in Housatonic

Peter Pulaskus, 24, disappeared from Stratford on Friday night and was found drowned yesterday morning, wedged between two piles along the Washington I rovers. His clothing was recovered Saturday on the riverbank near Gulf Refining plant. Police and Medical Examiner Cogemwell said death’s cause remains undetermined as investigations continue.
