Plans to eliminate dangers of underpass in Madison
Hartford July 9 The Public Utilities Commission began plans to improve high conditions by eliminating charges of the underpass of the New York New Haven and Hartford railroad at Hast river in Madison. Estimated expense 54000. Commission met Monday and will hold a hearing on apportionment of the expense among the state town Shore Line Traily representative and the railroad.

Naval Officers To Take Back Men In Norwich
Naval officers from Portsmouth Navy Yard travel to Norwich to recover four men who escaped a naval prison and were arrested after attempting to break into an oil station in Preston. Constable Nolan reported the case. The Navy department claims precedence over charges. the men were held in Preston in $2500 bonds for the Superior Court for breaking and entering.
