Alcohol Fills Car After Turnover on Darien Turnpike
Five people badly hurt when the car they rode in rolled over on the Darien Turnpike. The machine, loaded with several gallons of alcohol, trapped occupants beneath. Injured are Joseph Pagano and wife Roale with infant Patay, Mrs. Josephine Bello and her four year old son Ernest, all from 486 State Street Stamford. Pagano and the Bello boy may have skull fractures. Police found three five gallon cans of liquor near the scene and suspect more liquor was in the car. Medical examiner's findings pending.
