Mrs. Mary Hamilton aged 55 of 712 Arctic street died at Bridgeport hospital from severe burns suffered when clothing caught fire from a gas stove while preparing supper. Neighbors William Phelan and his ten year old son Irving aided by breaking in and dousing flames. Mrs Hamilton was trapped between an ice box and wall, later pronounced dead after ambulance arrival and treatment by Dr Harry A Gavits.
