Stratford July 2 In a board meeting the Stratford School Board announced appointments for the coming year appointing graduates of New Haven Normal School to teaching staffs. Work on the new high school is set to begin within a week by Pardy Construction Co Bridgeport. Miss Helen Hughes Miss Gertrudes Hudson Miss Elizabeth Tonnina and Miss Ruth Peck, all from Stratford, join the staff. Elisabeth Woolley declines a post in Stratford seeking work in Watertown. Resignations include Miss Alden and Mrs Mildred Partridge from Center and High School staffs. Center School will have Miss Ransom of Winstead as principal at 2000 dollars for the year.
